Lost Soul Aside developers from Ultizero Games are already talking about updates and improvements after a difficult launch. In a message on X, the studio acknowledged the issues and stated that they are working on fixes.
"We are listening to players and working on improving combat sound, gamepad support, and smoother gameplay in the early stages. Updates are coming soon, and optimization will continue. We are in this adventure together!"
Earlier, the team apologized for the issues with cutscenes. Some of them are in the format of pre-rendered 4K videos at 30 fps, which causes slowdowns. The developers promised to fix this.
Since its release on August 29, 2025, Lost Soul Aside has faced numerous complaints from players on PS5 and PC. On Steam, the game has "mixed" reviews: critics note unstable fps and slowdowns. The ray tracing feature has proven to be particularly problematic, and many recommend disabling it.
In addition to technical issues, players criticize some design decisions: strange camera, clumsy character movements, and invisible walls that prevent exploring the world. The problems overshadow the spectacular combat scenes and ambitious style of the game.
Lost Soul Aside is part of the Sony China Hero Project, aimed at supporting Chinese developers on the global stage.
