When working in a team, Steam takes into account the specifics of regions, including interaction with Russia. Valve has repeatedly responded promptly to requests from the authorities.
Recently, the ROCIT public organization, which unites active Internet users in Russia, talked about Steam.
The Valve service was cited as an example of a platform that actively cooperates with RKN on an ongoing basis.
ROCIT expert Anton Bely noted that Russian gamers have no reason to worry: "...since there are no plans to restrict the service [Steam] — it conscientiously works to remove prohibited information."
At the request of Roskomnadzor, the Steam administration "restricted access to more than 380 materials that violate Russian law."
ROCIT also reminded that not only Steam is available to gamers, there is a "wide selection of available platforms" — GOG, Epic Games Store, VK Play.
