The PoE 2 team managed to please many, but players still found a reason for outrage.
Recently, a major update, "The Third Edict," was released for Path of Exile 2. Grinding Gear Games also introduced new microtransactions.
The familiar "box" format with mysterious contents is used:
«In the Third Edict Mystery Box, you will find 56 microtransactions (including variations). Many of these microtransactions have a different number of themed variations, and you will never receive a duplicate».
Not all gamers are happy with microtransactions, and some dissatisfied Steam users have started giving the Path of Exile 2 developers' announcement "clown medals" (although the official name of this award is "Jester," it is used by many community members as a kind of insult).
This time the "rebellion" is small — a few dozen awards. The update itself received many positive reviews, and the developers implemented much-needed improvements.
