Not everyone liked the protagonist in the dark action game.
Hell is Us recently had an early release for premium edition owners. Reviews from journalists have also appeared.
The Eurogamer author criticized the protagonist, calling him a "boring white guy" who "...barely speaks, despite being voiced by Elias Toufexis [Adam Jensen from Deus Ex], and rarely comments on his discoveries. He is a completely uninteresting character exploring an interesting world. There is potential for serious exploration of narrative themes, but Remi is no more than an avatar with which to collect keys and beat things up."
Readers raised questions and complaints, with some expressing a desire to file a complaint about the material containing racism:
