Promises vs. Reality: First Testing Results of EA Sports FC 26 on Nintendo Switch 2
EA Sports FC 26 for Nintendo Switch 2 has sparked a storm of discussion among fans. Players hope that the new Nintendo console will finally catch up with PlayStation 5 in terms of football gameplay quality, including graphics and mechanics.
Developers assure that the Switch 2 version is comparable to the PS5 and Xbox Series X editions. EA Sports representative Andreas Villsdorf noted the high performance of the console and emphasized that the game feels almost the same as on older platforms.
But the first tests raise doubts. Journalists and gamers who have tried the beta version report many bugs and an unstable frame rate. The game is limited to 30 fps, and the graphics are noticeably inferior to the PlayStation 5 version.
Another problem is the lack of crossplay, which eliminates the possibility of playing together with users of other devices.
Previously, the series on Switch was released in stripped-down versions, but now EA promises a full-fledged version. But testers note that even with the improved Switch 2 "hardware", the project does not reveal the full potential of the console.
The release of EA Sports FC 26 on Switch 2 is scheduled for September 26, 2025.
