The original Hollow Knight set new records for the number of concurrent players as fans prepare for the release of Silksong. One speedrunner used the time to set a world record.
YouTuber and Hollow Knight master Kyle Dodson, known as LoLNebula on Speedrun.com, recently completed Hollow Knight with 112% completion in 2:49:59 (without loading times), defeating all Pantheon bosses (112% APB category in speedrunning).
This requires collecting all key items and upgrades, including charms, nail upgrades, and the Knight, opening and defeating all bosses for the Pantheon Trials, and then replaying them in enhanced versions or in a row. This includes side bosses like the warriors of the Colosseum of Fools, enhanced bosses like the White Defender, and Dream bosses.
Kyle's record shows not only skill but also a deep knowledge of Hollow Knight mechanics. Even experienced players admit that such an achievement "may be one of the greatest in Hollow Knight history."
