Colin Farrell Talks Penguin's Appearance in "The Batman" Sequel and Shares Thoughts on Season 2 of "The Penguin" Series
Colin Farrell praised Matt Reeves' script for "The Batman Part II," but his presence in the film will be limited.
Colin Farrell, who played the Penguin in the eponymous series and in "The Batman" with Robert Pattinson, shared his impressions of the script for "The Batman Part II" and his thoughts on the future of his character in an interview with Deadline. Farrell called the script "outstanding" but clarified that his role would be small: "I have a little bit to do in it, a very small bit."
As for the series about the Penguin, the actor made it clear that he is not sure about the need for a sequel. According to him, he heard that the studio is considering the possibility of a second season, but he himself is skeptical about this idea. Farrell admitted that he does not know how to logically return to the story, and added that sometimes it is better to stop, because the series turned out to be successful anyway, and perhaps it is not worth trying to repeat the success.
The premiere of "The Batman Part II" by Matt Reeves is scheduled for October 1, 2027.
