Cronos: The New Dawn is now available to Deluxe Edition owners in early access, and the first version comparisons have quickly appeared online.
The game was released simultaneously on all announced platforms, including Nintendo Switch 2. Prior to this, only short gameplay recordings on the portable console were shown, in addition to a trailer from Nintendo Direct. Now that the project is officially available, players have begun testing and posting materials themselves.
The author of the ElAnalistaDeBits channel has prepared a detailed comparison of the editions for PlayStation 5 and Switch 2. Even from short excerpts, it was noticeable that the horror game looks decent on the Nintendo hybrid system, and the analysis confirms this.
Of course, there are still compromises. The most noticeable is the absence of global illumination, which affects the atmosphere. But Switch 2 owners shouldn't worry: the port turned out to be quite playable. Also, unlike the quality mode on PS5, the Switch version consistently maintains 30 fps and hardly loses in loading speed compared to the Sony console.
