Bend Studio is preparing a new multiplayer project after the cancellation of the game-service - rumor

A Bend Studio vacancy has appeared online, stating that the team is working on an unannounced AAA game with a focus on multiplayer. This confirms that the studio continues to move towards online projects, despite a series of cancellations in recent years.

During this time, Bend Studio stopped developing a game-service, a sequel to Days Gone, and a new part of Uncharted. It has been 6 years since the release of Days Gone.

The studio is now looking for a creative director for a new project. The requirements for the position specifically highlight experience in multiplayer games, which indicates the direction of development. So far, there are few details, but it is clear that the game is in its early stages.

It was previously reported that Sony invested about $250 million in the Bend Studio game-service, but the project was canceled at the beginning of the year, and about 30% of employees lost their jobs.

The studio also abandoned the continuation of Days Gone and, according to rumors, attempts to revive the Uncharted series. The developers stated that the PlayStation portfolio should consist of 90% single-player games, but now Bend is moving towards multiplayer.

A full announcement is likely to be expected soon. There will be no news about the project for the next few years. And it is possible that it will eventually suffer the fate of its predecessors.
