As expected, at IFA Berlin 2025, Lenovo revealed the official specifications of the upcoming Legion Go 2 portable PCs. The focus is on performance: the device received an AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor and up to 32 GB of RAM — more than its closest competitor, the ROG Ally X, which is limited to 24 GB. At the same time, the lineup includes a more affordable option with a basic Ryzen Z2.

An important change was the transition to an OLED panel. The device received an 8.8-inch screen with a resolution of 1920×1200, HDR True Black 1000 support, and a variable frequency from 30 to 144 Hz. For comparison, the ROG Ally X has a smaller display (7 inches), on an IPS matrix, and with a frequency of up to 120 Hz.

The TrueStrike controllers remained removable but became more convenient and received Hall effect sticks. The "shooter" mode, in which the right controller works as a vertical mouse, also returned. The touch panel is only preserved on the right "joycon."

Battery life has been improved with a 74 Wh battery compared to 49.2 Wh in the first model. Although this is less than the ROG Ally X (80 Wh), the OLED display and optimized resolution should compensate for the difference. The system also offers two USB-C 4.0 ports and a microSD card slot up to 2 TB.

The basic version of the Legion Go 2 with Ryzen Z2, 16 GB of RAM, and a 1 TB SSD will cost $1,100. The 32 GB configuration costs $1,200, the Ryzen Z2 Extreme option starts at $1,350, and the top model with a 2 TB SSD is $1,480.

Sales will begin in October 2025, the exact date will be announced later.
