CD Projekt RED is preparing a new Cyberpunk game alongside The Witcher 4. For this purpose, a second large team has been formed in the USA, fully focused on the project. Previously, the game was known under the codename "Project Orion", and the studio did not disclose the final name.
Now, judging by official materials, the developers have decided to change their strategy. They already mention "Cyberpunk 2", which could become the official name of the new story in Night City. This is a noticeable change in the studio's approach, which usually tries to keep such data secret for as long as possible.
We will have to wait a long time for Cyberpunk 2 to be released. Although work on the game has been going on for several months, creating such a large-scale AAA project may take five years or more. Players will have to be patient — the new story in Night City is unlikely to appear before the end of the decade.
