"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" will feature a record number of villains - rumor
"Brand New Day" has prepared a large gallery of villains, which will force Peter Parker to team up with the Punisher.
The movie "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" may become one of the most villain-packed projects in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Insider MyTimeToShineHello reported that up to eight antagonists will appear in the film. Probable candidates include Scorpion (Michael Mando's role has already been confirmed), Tombstone, Tarantula, Boomerang, and Ramrod. The Red Hulk, Chameleon, Venom, and other characters are also expected to participate.
Some of these assumptions are related to photographs of comic book issues that inspire director Daniel Cretton. His assistantpublished them at the end of July 2025, but later deleted them. On the covers, you could notice hints of Tarantula and Boomerang, and one of the issues with the battle against Boomerang also hinted at the appearance of Venom.
Also, The Cosmic Circus previouslywrote that most of the villains will appear in a montage sequence: viewers will be shown how Peter fought crime for several years after the events of "No Way Home". Each fight will be reflected in his experience and appearance - this is how Marvel plans to explain the gradual updating of the spider suit up to the final version, which will be shown in "Brand New Day".
While Marvel has not officially confirmed the information, leaks should be treated with caution.
The premiere of the movie "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is scheduled for July 31, 2026.
