It looks like Valve may be preparing for a VR device presentation.
It recently became known that Valve registered the Steam Frame trademark. Some have suggested that this may be somehow related to the VR direction.
Soon, dataminer SadlyItsDadley spoke out:
«Valve now has custom/ready-made drivers for the Steam Link VR USB Dongle. This will greatly simplify connecting the HMD [VR device] to your Windows/Linux PC and provide a direct wireless connection. This is Wi-Fi 6E, which supports the 6 GHz frequency».
SadlyItsDadley also said that "Valve Roy controllers are no longer marked as \"prototypes/EV1\" in the drivers".
He published the "final render" of these devices; showed what the controllers might look like in SteamVR.
