The budget Ryzen 5 9500F processor without integrated graphics is positioned as an analogue of the "popular" Ryzen 7500F.
AMD has officially announced that the budget Ryzen 5 9500F processor based on the Zen 5 architecture will go on retail sale on September 16, 2025. The chip without integrated graphics offers 6 cores and 12 threads, a base frequency of 3.8 GHz and a boost up to 5.0 GHz, while maintaining a TDP of 65 W.
According to AMD slides, the Ryzen 5 9500F shows up to a 24% performance increase in AAA games compared to its predecessor, the Ryzen 5 7500F. The average increase across 10 popular titles is about 9%. In competitive games, the increase averages 11%. The peak increase was recorded in Baldur's Gate 3 and World of Warcraft.
Tests were conducted at 1080p resolution on high settings. However, it is worth noting that the data is provided by AMD itself, and the actual results may vary. According to third-party testers, the advantage of the Ryzen 5 9500F over the 7500F with a GeForce RTX 5080 video card is about 3.5%.
The Ryzen 5 9500F will go on sale at an estimated price of $181. With a difference of $15–20, experts doubt that the new product will be able to confidently compete with the Ryzen 5 9600X, which offers integrated graphics and slightly higher frequencies.
