Netflix has determined the tentative release window for the fourth season of The Witcher. According to Redanian Intelligence, the premiere is scheduled for late October 2025. Thus, the series has not been postponed to 2026, as some fans previously speculated.
In the new season, Liam Hemsworth will play the main role, replacing Henry Cavill. Despite the fact that filming was completed almost a year ago, Netflix has not yet released a trailer or announced an exact release date.
When the release window in late October became known, Redanian Intelligence analyzed the platform's content schedule and identified the only suitable date — October 30. According to them, the premiere of the new season will fall on this day.
The fourth season will be released in full on one day: all eight episodes will be available simultaneously. Netflix has abandoned the format of splitting into parts, which was used in the third season. This is a return to the traditional publication model, which, according to viewers, turned out to be more convenient.
In addition, the spin-off Rats: The Witcher Stories is being prepared for release. It will appear in the format of a full-length special episode later this year, but the exact date has not yet been announced.
As a rule, Netflix begins actively promoting projects about a month before the premiere. Given the expected release date, official materials may appear in the near future.
