The latest Radeon driver removes the need to manually activate FSR 4 in games with FSR 3.1 support.
AMD has released the Adrenalin Edition 25.9.1 driver, adding support for FSR 4 technology to many games that previously only had FSR 3.1 available. The list of compatible projects now exceeds 85 titles.
Previously, players had to manually replace DLL files and use other workarounds to enable FSR 4 in games without official support, without waiting for patches from developers. With the new driver, this is no longer necessary-in most DirectX 12 projects where FSR 3.1 support is already implemented, FSR 4 is activated automatically.
Among the new officially supported games are Borderlands 4 and Hell Is Us. In addition to expanding the list of compatible titles, AMD has also made a number of optimizations and eliminated several critical bugs.
In particular, crashes in Monster Hunter Wilds when using ray tracing have been fixed, and graphic artifacts in Mafia: The Old Country on RX 6600 have been eliminated.
The AMD Adrenalin 25.9.1 driver is now available for download on the company's official website and through the AMD Software application.
