"You can't even touch the game with a stick": Oblivion Remaster gets mixed reviews due to unresolved issues - gamers fear Bethesda has forgotten about the project

The updated version of TES 4 Oblivion has not been pleasing players lately.

The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion Remastered had a brisk start, but the game doesn't perform well in the long run. Over time, the rating began todecline, and recently the game has been receiving "mixed"reviews.

The negativity is largely due to the technical component: after installing the latest update, performance issues began to be observed; players also complain about crashes.

GrableShot notes that the developers have not released patches for a long time, and the problems persist:

"It's been four months, and it already looks like abandoned software. Serious performance issues and a complete lack of feedback from the developers. It looks more and more like an attempt to quickly squeeze money out of it. Shortly after the release, we were even lured by the phrase: \"Let us know what you want in the next update!\", which quickly disappeared and now looks more like a marketing ploy to create a sense of community. Wait until there is a discount."

Illuminat shared his impressions of the Oblivion remaster "[...] There are so many bugs. Even my [butt], accustomed to new game releases, turned molten, heated to the temperature of a blast furnace [...]

This is just a disgrace and a rip-off of the population. As you can see from my time in the game [85 hours], I have completed all the content and can make a recommendation. If you want to play Oblivion, take the original version, install fan patches to fix bugs, install fan modifications to improve the graphics, and enjoy. You can't even touch this game with a five-meter stick."
