For some, Starfield has become a "base" for creating the dream Star Wars RPG.
Modder DeityVengy has released a new development diary for Star Wars Genesis. This is a global overhaul mod for Starfield. The game adds thematic planets, factions, and an alternative storyline.
The developer talked about some improvements in Star Wars Genesis version 8.4, for example:
- Rebel base updated
Crowd improvements (NPC-passersby):
- Removed overly bright outfits that didn't fit the Star Wars setting
- Nearly tripled the variety of crowd outfits, including the use of clothing from Star Wars.
- Updated the lower level of Coruscant - revised the crowd density and NPCs are engaged in various activities; also improved the lighting on the planet.
- Added 9 new variations of mercenary equipment combinations.
New biomes:
- The planet Hoth has 3 new and unique biomes: Frozen Dunes, Glacial Tundra, and Frozen Sea.
- The planet Mustafar has four new unique biomes: Volcanic Plains, Obsidian Mountains, "Molten" Sea (lava), and Scorched Wastelands.
Characters:
- The Yuuzhan Vong have been updated, their aggression has been increased, and they are now the "strongest enemies in Star Wars Genesis."
- Now NPC representatives of factions recognize the player as one of their own, you can join an ongoing firefight and stand up for one of the sides.
