The star of the cult film "28 Days Later," Cillian Murphy, has finally responded to rumors that he allegedly appears as a zombie in the trailer for the new installment - "28 Years Later." As the actor confessed in an interview with The Observer, he learned about this from his son, as he prefers to stay away from social networks.
"It's wonderful that people think I look like a dead zombie. It's very flattering," Murphy joked in an interview with The Observer.
In fact, the image of the emaciated infected person who appeared in the trailer (and subsequently in the film) was played by model and art dealer Angus Neil.
Although Murphy does not appear in the first film of the trilogy, he will return in the sequel - albeit only in a short episode towards the end. His character Jim will reappear to set the stage for the third part, where he will become one of the central characters.
The premiere of the film "28 Years Later. Part II: Bone Temple" is scheduled for January 16, 2026.
