In his social networks, the director confirmed that the second season of the series "Peacemaker" not only continues the story of Christopher Smith, but also becomes the official prequel to his next major project — the movie "Superman: Legacy", scheduled for release on July 9, 2027.
According to Gunn, there will be a direct storyline connection between the projects. Answering one of his subscribers, he noted that the season finale will lead to the events of the new film, even though viewers will see "Supergirl", "Lanterns" and "Clayface" before the release of "Superman: Legacy".
