GTA VI is scheduled for release next year on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, but the choice of locations in Apple's presentation became a "signal" for some.
At the Apple presentation dedicated to the iPhone 17, Reddit users noticed an unexpected detail: when project manager Megan Nash was talking about the new device, there was a landscape with a street in Miami behind her.
This fact immediately attracted the attention of GTA fans, because the new part of the cult Rockstar Games series takes place in the fictional city of Vice City, which was originally inspired by Miami.
This coincidence has sparked a wave of speculation. Some believe that Apple is hinting at the possibility of launching GTA 6 on the iPhone 17. And although there have been no official statements from Apple and Rockstar on this matter, fans are happy to build theories.
Interest in this idea is fueled by the technological context itself. Apple is actively developing the gaming direction: the iPhone 17 is positioned as a device comparable in power to the MacBook, and previous models have already released major projects - from Resident Evil Village to Death Stranding. Thus, the launch of GTA 6 on a mobile platform, theoretically, no longer seems impossible, albeit with a number of compromises.
Or maybe everything is much simpler - and the characters of the game will simply use the iPhone. Recently, several domains of fictional sites were discovered on the network, which are likely to appear in the game. It is logical that characters will need smartphones to use them - the only question is which ones.
Whether this scene from the presentation will remain just a coincidence or will be part of a large campaign - time will tell. But one thing is clear: the anticipation of GTA 6 has reached such a stage that fans are ready to look for hints in literally everything.
