Pre-orders for the "The Secrets of Parma" and "Cherdyn Treasure" expansions for the "Black Book" board game, which will add new mechanics, stories, heroes, and deluxe components to the project, should open next week.
Hobby World employees have announced that they are preparing to publish the "The Secrets of Parma" and "Cherdyn Treasure" expansions for the "Black Book: The Board Game", based on the computer game of the same name.
"The Secrets of Parma" consists of three new stories – "Cherdyn Shipping Company", "Yag-Mort" and "Ghosts of the Past". They can be played separately or combined into a campaign. The main feature of the stories is replayability.
The expansion will add two new knowledgeable heroes to the project – Galya, a vekshitsa from the Pomor people, traveling with her faithful dog Gab, and Yuri, a merchant's assistant whose demons live in a special teapot.
New mechanics will also appear: curse cards, poisonous wounds, artifacts – rare, reusable tokens with powerful properties, adventures – an alternative to special enemies, a market board and a difficulty token.
Thanks to the "Cherdyn Treasure" expansion, participants will be able to evaluate the new mechanics of demon cards. Demons torment the character, like the "native" ones from the tablet, but at the same time give new unusual opportunities.
In addition, the "Cherdyn Treasure" includes acrylic deluxe components to replace the cardboard ones: character figures, time tokens, discontent, first player and history marks.
