Druckmann declined to say exactly how much SIE has already invested in the production of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. Currently, Naughty Dog's most expensive game is The Last of Us Part 2, which cost more than $220 million to produce.
According to Druckmann, the project represents an evolution of Naughty Dog's signature style: dynamic third-person action with shooter elements, deep emotional storytelling, and role-playing mechanics.
