Nintendo has issued a warning to owners of the new Nintendo Switch 2 console, strongly advising against the use of unlicensed USB-C chargers. According to the manufacturer, unofficial accessories may damage the console, and in some cases even cause the charging port to melt.
The warning was prompted by an incident in which one Switch 2 owner had to repair their console. Nintendo carried out the repair free of charge, but stated that only the original docking station and power adapter or accessories marked "Official Nintendo Licensed Product" should be used for charging.
