Russian-speaking Tolkienists have the opportunity to pre-order the second edition of "The One Ring" tabletop role-playing game, as well as get pleasant rewards for the campaign's stretch goals on the CrowdRepublic platform and order various maps.
On September 12, the "Pandora Box" publishing house opened pre-orders on the CrowdRepublic crowdfunding platform for the second edition of "The One Ring" tabletop role-playing game based on the books "The Hobbit, or There and Back Again" and "The Lord of the Rings".
Only 24 hours have passed since the start of this event, and the team already has 1,602,780 rubles in its piggy bank. Thanks to sponsors, 8 out of 15 stretch goals were achieved in such a short time. Now all the books of the basic rules will be equipped with a red bookmark ribbon and covered with selective varnish.
On the inside of the box lid, the team will print a cheat sheet with the basic rules for the keeper, which will be useful in adventures, and on the inside of the bottom – a map of the Shire with adventure routes from the starter.
Everyone who supports this project and chooses a reward with a physical copy of the starter set will receive a pack with a laminated map of the Shire and Eriador (the lamination will be matte).
In addition, as part of the campaign, they will be allowed to order isometric maps of the locations "Tower of the Star", "Sunken Halls and Cursed Chambers", and "Rivendell and the House of Elrond", as well as an ancient map of Eriador with lamination.
In the second edition, people will find updated and simplified rules, a new game region – the Lonely Lands of Eriador in 2965 of the Third Age, a complete redesign of illustrations and graphic design.
Now the "The Road Goes Ever On" set, containing the book of basic rules (physical version and PDF), the starter set (PDF), the alpha version of the book of basic rules, the achieved gifts for the book of basic rules and all digital stretch goals, can be bought for 4835 rubles.
For 7500 rubles you can buy the "Fellowship of the Ring" set, containing the above bonuses and a physical version of the starter set, for 11,650 rubles – the "My Precious!" set (things from the "Fellowship of the Ring" pack and a limited version of the book of basic rules in a red leather cover with gold embossing).
Plus, PDF format fans can buy the "A Long-awaited Party" set for 2590 rubles. The rewards indicate that delivery is scheduled for December 2025, but "Pandora Box" plans to send out starter sets as early as November, and books of basic rules and other physical rewards – in December.
Digital versions of the publications are likely to be sent out earlier, as they will be ready before the physical copies are printed.
