Another Nintendo Direct presentation is on the way, and it will once again be entirely dedicated to Kirby Air Riders. As before, the broadcast will be hosted by Masahiro Sakurai. The second installment is expected to provide more details about the new amiibo and possibly reveal additional details about modes, mechanics, or multiplayer support.
The exact air date has not yet been announced — Nintendo limited itself to promising that the Direct is "just around the corner." Sakurai himself confirmed his participation on social media and urged fans to be patient, noting that preparation will take time.
The previous showing took place in August as part of a separate Nintendo Direct issue dedicated entirely to Kirby Air Riders. Then they presented key characters, driving mechanics, transport, game modes and a system for copying abilities. It also became known that the release will take place on November 20, 2025 exclusively on Switch 2.
Kirby Air Riders not only retains the spirit of the original, but also offers many innovations. These include unique special moves, the ability to drift and accumulate acceleration, large-scale modes such as Skyah: City Trial, as well as support for online competitions for up to 16 players.
Nintendo seems to be counting on making Kirby Air Riders one of the platform's key exclusives. The second presentation will likely be an important part of the marketing campaign ahead of release.
