Atlus plans to release Persona 3 Reload on Nintendo Switch 2 as early as October 23, 2025, but access to the free demo is open in advance - anyone can try it.
Early users note decent image clarity and level of detail, but the demo has serious performance issues.
Although the frame rate remains stable, the even distribution of frames (frame pacing) is disrupted, which makes the animation appear jerky. According to reviews, delays are felt even when navigating the game menu.
In the portable mode of Switch 2, the problems are less noticeable: animation artifacts are not so striking on a small screen. However, when the console is connected to a TV, the situation noticeably worsens - many users note that in this form they would prefer to play the game on other platforms.
The demo remains free, and Atlus still has time to fix the technical flaws before release. However, at the moment, the Switch 2 version of Persona 3 Reload can hardly be considered the best way to get acquainted with the rethinking of the cult JRPG.
