Recently, the Rockstar Games fan community drew attention to a job opening. The team needed a "Lead Software Engineer, Data Specialist."
The job description states that the specialist will be able to help with the launch of the "biggest game in history" (GTA 6):
«Given the continued growth of Grand Theft Auto Online and the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto 6, the successful candidate will lead both the development and operation of the data platform supporting the launch of the largest game in history, ensuring it scales to deliver an exceptional experience to millions of players worldwide.»
The release of Grand Theft Auto 6 is expected in May 2026.
