As the launch of EFT 1.0 approaches, nuances are revealed.
Recently, the authors of Escape from Tarkov added a game page to Steam. At the same time, they released an FAQ and revealed a condition that caused outrage in the community.
Veteran players will not be gifted the Steam version of Escape from Tarkov — you need to buy the game again (at least the standard version) in order to be able to link an existing account:
"...to play Escape from Tarkov on Steam, you must purchase any copy of the game on Steam. You will be able to link your existing Battlestate Games account with an active copy of the game of any edition to your Steam profile. If there is a difference in editions, the game will automatically select the higher of the two editions when launched via Steam."
The full version of Escape from Tarkov is expected to be released on November 15th.
