Pocket Pair studio confirmed that Palworld will leave early access and be released in full version 1.0 in 2026. This was announced on the company's social networks, where the developers thanked the players for their support since the release.
The team noted that over the past 20 months, the game has received five major updates with raids, new islands, additional creatures, crossplay, and a collaboration with Terraria. But by the release, there are still technical problems and rough edges that need to be fixed.
In the remaining time until the end of 2025, the studio will reduce the pace of content release: the winter update will be smaller in scale than previous ones. The main efforts will be directed to optimization, graphics, and balance. Pocket Pair emphasized that this is not a slowdown in development, but preparation for a high-quality release of version 1.0.
In addition to Palworld, the company launched the Pocket Pair Publishing initiative to support independent studios with funding, marketing, and distribution. Also, small teams within the company are experimenting with new ideas, but the main resource is focused on Palworld.
The game was released in January 2024 in early access on PC and Xbox. In the first year, sales exceeded 15 million copies, the total number of players exceeded 32 million.
