AMD has introduced the Ryzen 5 5600F processor, based on the Zen 3 architecture. It features 6 cores and 12 threads, a base clock speed of 3.0 GHz, and a maximum Boost clock speed of up to 4.0 GHz. The L3 cache size is 32 MB, and the TDP is 65 W.

The model was released in the ninth year of the AM4 platform's existence. The socket debuted in 2016 with the Bristol Ridge APU and remains one of the longest-lived platforms in the history of desktop processors. During this time, AM4 has gone from the first Ryzen to the 5000 series. Despite the promotion of the AM5 platform, the company continues to support the old socket.

There are already more than two dozen models for AM4 in the Ryzen 5000 series, so the release of the Ryzen 5 5600F looks more like a symbolic gesture. In this way, AMD demonstrates its willingness to support users of the old platform even after the transition to AM5.
