When reports of mass layoffs at Turn 10 surfaced, it became clear that the future of Forza Motorsport was in question. This is now confirmed by new data.
The studio has cut about 70% of its staff, and the presented update plan until the end of 2025 shows that the project is effectively "frozen."
There will be no fresh content until the end of this year. The developers stated that only familiar challenges from past updates will appear in the career. The Endurance Tour will return in October, the BMW Tour in November, and the Contemporary Tour in December. Along with them, players will once again have access to the same cars that have been offered before. The only new addition will be the Rivals competition, organized with the support of Logitech.
It is particularly telling that update 22 will not include any bug fixes. It looks as if development has completely stopped.
Microsoft continues to remain silent about the future of the series. But everything points to one thing: Forza Motorsport is being shut down, and there is no point in waiting for new content in 2026.
