SCS Software continues to prepare Euro Truck Simulator 2 for its release on consoles. This time, the team updated the game's visuals as part of patch 1.56, following the example of recent improvements in American Truck Simulator.
The main focus is on reworking textures and introducing the Height Blend effect. Thanks to it, the earth's surface in different regions looks noticeably more natural. In the official video, a demonstration of the improvement is shown at 1:28.
The update affected not only the graphics. ETS 2 has a new interface, which includes changes for convenient use of scaling functions, starting and conducting a career, and working with the DLC library.
Patch 1.56 is already available, and the full list of all innovations is published at link. The improvements are part of the preparation for the release of Euro Truck Simulator 2 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, where the game should offer a more modern and comfortable experience for console users.
