The cast of the new Resident Evil film adaptation continues to grow with details.
According to Deadline, Paul Walter Hauser, known for the drama "Black Bird," has joined the cast of the new Resident Evil film adaptation, directed by Zack Creggar.
What role Hauser will play has not yet been announced. He is only the second confirmed participant in the project.
It was previously announced that British actor Austin Abrams ("Euphoria") will play one of the roles. According to insiders, he got the key role of a courier who, heading at night with an order to the Raccoon City hospital, finds himself in the epicenter of the epidemic.
The script was co-written with Shay Hatten, known for his work on "John Wick" and "Army of the Dead." Creggar emphasized that he is a big fan of the series and intends to approach the material with respect for the original source, but at the same time offer viewers a new look at the zombie apocalypse in the Capcom universe, without retelling already known stories from the games.
The premiere of the Resident Evil film is scheduled for September 18, 2026.
