Pitchford reminded himself again before the release of Borderlands 4, stating that the game is "for premium gamers," hinting at its technical condition. He also accuses players of being "too persistent" in trying to run the game on unsuitable hardware, and sarcastically asks: "Create your own engine and show how it's done." Comments on Reddit show that fans are tired of such statements.

At the same time, the rest of the Gearbox employees are working hard on the technical condition of the game, and players appreciate this. Many advise to simply ignore the "drama on Twitter", concentrating on the game itself.

According to fans, future Borderlands releases should have a setting that allows you to turn off Pitchford's comments on the Internet. Until this is available, all that remains is to ignore the strange statements.
