The Twilight Imperium board game, in which various space factions fight each other for the Imperial throne, will get a digital adaptation in the form of the 4X strategy Twilight Imperium Digital.
Fans of the Twilight Imperium board game, which was released back in 1997, have a big celebration today, as Red Square Games has announced the 4X strategy Twilight Imperium Digital.
This is an exact copy of the above-mentioned board game, but designed for PC gamers. People will be able to lead one of 17 unique factions fighting for control of the galaxy through diplomacy, war, trade and political maneuvering.
The digital adaptation of the game will feature random galaxy maps and objectives, full integration of fourth edition rules, multiplayer and single player modes, interactive tutorials and hints, animated 3D tactical battles, and features such as online matchmaking, hotseat, and asynchronous play.
When exactly Twilight Imperium Digital will be released, unfortunately, is not yet known. Minimum system requirements are as follows: OS – Windows 10, processor – Intel Core i5-2400 or AMD Ryzen 3 2200G, RAM 4 GB, video card – Intel HD 2000 or Vega 8, DirectX – version 11, disk space – 2 GB, network – broadband internet connection.
The maximum system requirements are as follows: OS – Windows 10 or 11, processor – Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 or AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+, RAM 8 GB, video card – supports DX11 or OpenGL 3.x, DirectX – version 11, disk space – 5 GB, network – broadband internet connection.
