Especially for people who miss the Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS, AYN has released a new video dedicated to the Thor portable clamshell with two screens, powered by Snapdragon 865 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chips.
The AYN Thor portable and foldable console with two AMOLED screens has attracted many retro gamers with the possibility of playing old DS and 3DS games properly.
Today, the developers published a video showing gameplay of three games from these classic Nintendo handhelds and the ability to toggle the interface mask on and off.
The top display in AYN Thor has a resolution of 1080*1920 (6-inch), a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a brightness of 650 nits, a contrast ratio of 100,000:1, and a color gamut of 152% sRGB. The lower screen has a resolution of 1080*1240 (3.92-inch), a refresh rate of 60 Hz, a brightness of 550 nits, a contrast ratio of 100,000:1, and a color gamut of 150% sRGB.
There are four versions of this console – Lite, Base, Pro, and Max. The Lite version has a Snapdragon 865 chip, LPDDR4x@2133MHz RAM (8 GB), Adreno 650@587MHz GPU, UFS3.1 internal storage (128 GB), active cooling, a 6000 mAh battery, Wi-Fi 6, BT5.1, DisplayPort 1080p Alt Mode video output, Android 13 OS, USB 3.1 Type C, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a TF card slot.
The Base, Pro, and Max variations have the following specifications: Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, Adreno 740@680MHz GPU, active cooling, LPDDR5x@4200MHz RAM (8GB | 12GB | 16GB), UFS4.0 internal storage (128GB | 256GB | 1TB), a 6000 mAh battery, Wi-Fi 7 and BT5.3, USB 3.1 Type C, a 3.5mm audio jack, a TF card slot, DisplayPort 4Kp60 Alt Mode video output, and Android 13 OS.
Thanks to a discount promotion, the AYN Thor with 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal storage, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip can now be purchased for $249 (20,679 rubles), and with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and 8 GB + 128 GB for $299 (24,832 rubles).
