Bethesda is in no hurry to please fans with a new part of the franchise, so users have begun to pay attention to another project.
The wait for The Elder Scrolls 6 continues. While some spend time with Skyrim and mods for it, some are taking a closer look at another well-known project in the franchise.
The MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online has been on the market for over 10 years. In a conversation with IGN, game director Nick Jacomini and studio director Rich Lambert said that in TESO, fans of the franchise sometimes play as a "single-player game."
Lambert spoke about the approach to developing The Elder Scrolls Online that made this possible:
«In the early days, at launch, we were trying to balance on the edge between MMO and Elder Scrolls, and we weren't very good at either.
And when we decided that we would do Elder Scrolls first, and then MMO, it helped solve a lot of problems. And we saw players come and say, "Oh, you mean I can go through all this alone? I don't need to play with other players. They're just there." And then organic interaction happens.
Many play exactly like that [alone]. And there are those who just build houses, participate in PVP, or just play a card game. Over time, we added more systems to [TESO], but in fact, many players play it like a single-player game».
