The classic card game gets a new mobile incarnation with adventure elements.
Mattel163, a joint venture between Mattel and NetEase Games, has released UNO Wonder, the official mobile version of the iconic card game with enhanced mechanics and adventure elements. Within a day of its release, the project garnered over a million downloads on Google Play, took first place in the casual section of the App Store, and entered the top 5 global free games chart on iOS.
In addition to individual matches, players are offered a story campaign set within a global cruise across 14 routes. Each new location presents unique conditions, and the geography covers more than 100 cities, from Barcelona to Cape Town.
A key element of the updated formula is nine new action cards that significantly change the usual strategy. Among them are the "Number Tornado," which removes all number cards on the table, and the "Wild Card - Everyone Skips," which gives an extra turn.
In total, the game features over 3,000 levels, including special battles with bosses—pirate captains, mythical creatures, and the Octopus King—that require a special strategy to defeat.
In addition to the campaign, there are temporary events: underwater expeditions, plant-growing events, PvE and PvP scenarios, including 2v2 team battles.
UNO Wonder was released on September 17, is available in Russian, supports offline mode, and is distributed for free on the App Store and Google Play. The project is monetized through in-game purchases.
