Dispatch, a new episodic adventure from AdHoc Studio, founded by former Telltale Games employees, will be released in October. As it turned out, the project appeared because The Wolf Among Us 2, which they also worked on, was frozen.
Recently, the studio shared details about Dispatch, and also explained why this game will be its debut. On October 22, 2025, AdHoc will release its own project after learning that Telltale had decided to suspend production of the sequel to The Wolf Among Us.
In an interview, studio co-founder Nick Herman said that the team wrote the script for the second season and was developing it for two years. But Telltale stated that they needed more time, and as a result, the companies parted ways.
According to Herman, AdHoc was responsible for cutscenes, animation, and testing.
"We wrote the season and think it's better than the first. But it was their project, not ours. We couldn't just wait, so we started working on Dispatch."
The developers admit that they do not know at what stage The Wolf Among Us 2 is now and whether their material will be included in the final version.
"If we had the opportunity to implement everything that we wrote and staged, players would like it. We wish them good luck."
