NVIDIA is once again promoting Borderlands 4 as a game perfectly suited for RTX series video cards. The company is actively involved in promoting the shooter: when purchasing certain GPUs, users receive a copy of Borderlands 4, and now a new promotional video has appeared online.
This time, the video uses footage of a gamer with the nickname SkallEdit, who launches Borderlands 4 on a PC with RTX 5090. DLSS and Multi Frame Generation are enabled, otherwise playing in 4K is almost impossible — the project suffers from serious optimization problems.
Hardware Unboxed journalists confirm: even on a system with RTX 5090, the frame rate stays only around 40 fps without upscaling, and it is impossible to achieve a stable 60 fps in native 4K.
Players did not ignore this. In the comments under the NVIDIA video, users sharply criticized the campaign. The main reproach is the absurdity of the situation: Borderlands 4 requires DLSS 5 and frame generation even on the top-end RTX 5090.
