Although work on the next-generation console is already underway, current devices receive regular updates with new features and technologies.
One of the most interesting projects is the upcoming update with Gaming Copilot AI — a new AI-based assistant that will appear on both Windows and the Xbox mobile app.
Microsoft has been testing the solution among Insider participants and is now preparing a full release: on PC in the coming weeks, and in October on Android and iOS devices. Gaming Copilot will be available almost worldwide, with the exception of China.
The new technology functions as a virtual assistant: AI analyzes screenshots, tracks the current game, and provides tips, Xbox account information, and recommendations for new games.
The official version will allow voice chat — on PC via the "Push to Talk" button, and a separate microphone button will appear in the mobile application.
Microsoft encourages users to test Copilot and share feedback, as the assistant will constantly evolve and adapt. The company conducted tests on portable Windows consoles, and after the release of ROG Xbox Ally AI, it will likely be available on this platform as well.
