The new driver optimizes the performance of the new Techland game, fixes crashes in Cronos: The New Dawn, and adds support for a video card based on the RDNA3 architecture.
AMD has released an update to Radeon Software drivers. The new version, Adrenalin 25.9.2, includes support for Dying Light: The Beast, released on September 18, and also fixes Cronos: The New Dawn crashes when ray tracing is enabled on Radeon RX 9070 and eliminates graphical artifacts in games on the Godot engine when using Vulkan.
At the same time, AMD introduced the new Radeon RX 7700 video card. It is based on the Navi 32 GPU and is equipped with 40 compute units, 40 ray tracing units, and 80 AI accelerators. In total, the card received 2560 stream processors and 16 GB of GDDR6 memory with a bandwidth of up to 625 GB/s on a 256-bit bus. Model support is implemented in the new driver.
The list of known issues in Adrenalin 25.9.2 remains significant.
Crashes are possible on Radeon RX 7900 video cards in The Last of Us Part II: Remastered. Similar failures are observed in NBA 2K25 when launching MyCareer mode on RX 9070. FBC: Firebreak crashes on some Ryzen AI 300 and Ryzen 8000 processors.
When loading saves in Cyberpunk 2077 with path tracing enabled, crashes may also occur (it is not specified on which video cards exactly).
Performance drops are possible when using VR headsets with a refresh rate of 80 or 90 Hz on Radeon RX 7000 series video cards, as well as crashes in World of Warcraft on Radeon RX 7900 GRE.
In addition, problems may occur in games with EA Javelin anti-cheat with the Radeon Anti-Lag function activated. As a temporary solution, AMD recommends disabling Radeon Anti-Lag.
Adrenalin 25.9.2 is now available for download on the official AMD website or through the AMD Software application.
