Pocketpair's Communications Director, Bucky, commented on social media about questions regarding who controls Palworld.
In a post on X, he emphasized that the game is "100% owned, 100% funded, 100% invested, and 100% controlled" by the studio. Bucky noted that Sony has "no authority" over the project.
The confusion arose after the creation of Palworld Entertainment — a joint venture between Pocketpair, Sony Music Entertainment Japan, and Aniplex, announced in July 2024. This alliance focuses on licensing and expanding the brand beyond the game, not on development.
