Users have noticed that when searching via Google or Bing for PlayStation games such as The Last of Us Part 2, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition, and Ghost of Tsushima, the search results lead to the Xbox store. However, clicking on the links opens the German version of the Xbox store with a message indicating that the page does not exist.
The reason for the appearance of these pages, which quickly spread online, is simple: real product cards do not exist, which means there is no official confirmation of these franchises being released on Microsoft consoles.
The most plausible explanation is related to automatic indexing by search engines: the links could have been formed based on internal queries in the Xbox store. Another version: games released on PC in recent years may be displayed in Xbox profiles on Windows, creating "phantom pages" for external users.
This is not the first instance of such signals, but the recent spread is due to the successful launch of Helldivers 2 on Xbox and Sony's more open policy regarding multiplatform releases. Users consider the appearance of PlayStation exclusives on Xbox more likely than before.
Although some PlayStation exclusives may be released on Xbox in the future, these pages will not serve as proof, but merely a technical anomaly of online content indexing.
