Windows 11 testers have reported that Microsoft has begun testing a new feature that will allow users to decorate their desktop with a video file instead of a static image.
Reportedly, MP4 and MKV formats are supported. The video set as wallpaper loops and plays on the desktop. It is currently unknown if there are any restrictions on video length.
Currently, many people use the Wallpaper Engine application for animated desktops. This built-in Windows 11 feature may become an alternative for some users.
