Recent rumors have been confirmed: in a few weeks, Hitman World of Assassination will receive a new edition dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the series.
Hitman celebrates a quarter of a century on the market and in the hearts of stealth game fans in 2025. Although the Danish studio IO Interactive is now working on its first game without Agent 47 in 15 years, it does not forget that it was thanks to this franchise that it found itself on the industry map and is preparing a game about James Bond. Among the anniversary events is a special edition of Hitman World of Assassination.
The creators have confirmed that a new physical edition of the game, which has been in development since 2021, will be released on October 17. Pre-orders are already open on the studio's website: the price will be $49.99, and the set can only be purchased for PlayStation 5. The Anniversary Box is a limited edition that includes:
- exclusive physical edition of the game
- special box design for PS5
- four add-ons (The Undying, The Drop, The Splitter and The Banker)
- collectible Lenticular Art Card
The anniversary edition will be a good gift for fans and collectors, emphasizing the legacy and significance of the series in the gaming industry.
