Although production of the film "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" was suspended for a week due to a concussion Tom Holland sustained on set, casting continues. According to Deadline, citing its own sources, actor Marvin Jones III has been cast as Tombstone in the new Spider-Man solo film.
This is not Jones' first appearance as Lonnie Lincoln: he previously voiced Tombstone in the animated film "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse", as well as in the upcoming threequel "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse".
In addition to Tom Holland and Zendaya (MJ), the film will also star Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, Tramell Tillman, and Jon Bernthal, who returns to the role of the Punisher.
Interestingly, Sadie Sink's role is still being kept secret. According to one version voiced by insiders, her character has superpowers and may be Tombstone's daughter, known as Beetle. However, this information has not yet been officially confirmed.
The premiere of the film "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" will take place on July 31, 2026.
