Sega has confirmed the joyful news for fans – Yakuza 0 Director's Cut will be available on December 8, 2025. This is the definitive version of the prologue, telling the story of Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima's beginnings.
Players will once again be able to control Yakuza member Kazuma Kiryu and cabaret manager Goro Majima, using three unique fighting styles. Dynamic switching of techniques, the use of improvised weapons, and creative ways to destroy enemies create intense battles. Intuitive controls and a skill upgrade system will ensure a comfortable gaming experience.
Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut is not just about fighting. Players will dive into the neon-lit Tokyo and Osaka of 1988, full of entertainment: discos, Sega arcade machines, darts, cabarets.
The new version is supplemented with previously unreleased cutscenes, revealing key events and characters. The Red Light Raid mode will allow you to team up with friends and choose one of 60 game figures to jointly defend against waves of enemies.
Important: the update will not be free, and transferring saves from the base version is not possible. This is a completely new version. The game is already available on Nintendo Switch 2.
