Sega has confirmed that Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 will appear on new platforms. The company has prepared nine new localizations, including Russian.
Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have announced that Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on December 8, 2025. These are new platform releases following the recent premiere on Switch 2. Additionally, an updated version for PC with support for new languages will be released on December 9.
Yakuza Kiwami is a complete remake of the game where it all began. The story tells of Kazuma Kiryu, who finds himself at the center of a 10 billion yen intrigue in Tokyo's red-light district. Yakuza Kiwami 2 continues his adventures: the "Dragon of Dojima" faces the "Dragon of Kansai," Ryuji Goda, leading to a war between powerful gangs.
